Rev. Fr. John (Teji) Abraham


Rev. Fr. John (Teji) Abraham received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin and worked as a teacher prior to entering Seminary in August of 2009. Achen received his Master of Divinity from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in New York and completed the six month liturgical training program at the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam.

Achen  has always had a love for ministry and pastoral work with a special interest in Scripture, pastoral work, missions, and the music, depth, and richness of the Syriac tradition. He has served the MGOCSM in many ways including being the second Dallas Area MGOCSM Coordinator, former General Treasurer of MGOCSM North America and is currenly serving as a member of the MGOCSM Missions Committee since 2008.

Achen is presently serving as the Vicar of the recently established St. James Orthodox Mission Church, Dallas. Achen is currently residing in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Linju, and daughter, Elishuba. In addition to the parish responsibilities entrusted to him, Achen is also teaching high school gemoetry for the Plano Independent School District.
